History

Korfball coach Lee Matthews, founder of the successful Littleport Lions club and Coach for the Australian Commonwealth Korfball Squad decided to set up another Korfball Club – this time in Ely. With an experienced committee formed Vikings Korfball Club is now up and running and have begun training for their first year in the C.K.A league (Cambridge Korfball Association) Although the newest club in Cambridgeshire Vikings now boast over 50 members ranging in ages from 6 to 65 years.

Seniors

The club currently have four senior teams entered into the C.K.A league, divison two.

Juniors

Vikings also have two Junior teams (Under 13's and Under 11's). Earlier this year the Under 13's competed in the British Korfball Association (B.K.A) Under 16 National Championships. The Under 11's have entered into the B.K.A Under 13 National Championships which are to be held later this year.

Vikings Korfball Club operates under the guidance of the British Korfball Association Child Protection Poliy.

Goals

Vikings are always looking to gain more members both Juniors and Seniors and in the future would like to enter a National League Team.
