2 Feb 2007 - Vikings Social - Bowling

The first Vikings social event took place on Friday 2nd February at Strikes
bowling in Ely and fun was had by all who attended.

The theme was stepping back in time to the 1970's, many thanks to those who made
the effort to get dressed up. The standard has now been set and congratulations
go to Rob aka Austin Powers who won the best-dressed prize. (decided by fellow
bowlers)

Being all dressed up must have boosted Rob's mojo as he also won in the bowling
competition and went away with the winner's trophy. Commiserations to Amy who
got the wooden spoon!!

How about a re-match next year?

Thanks to everyone for completing the questionnaires about the social events we
will do our best to use your suggestions, and if you think of any more then
please let us know.

The next Vikings social event will be the end of season meal, which will be
taking place at the Cutter on Friday 25th May. (t.b.c)
It would be great to see everyone there and dressed up there will be good food,
good company and awards to be won. More details coming soon.

After the awards dinner we will be organising the social side of the tournament
weekend June 16th - 17th. We'll let you what is expected of you closer to the
time - you have been warned!!!
